Large Diameter Fiber Bend Radius Limiter Module Delivers the Flexibility Users Want
6/21/2005 - Chicago, IL - Device Technologies, Inc., has expanded its popular Fast Drop™ Fiber Radius Limiter Module product line to include a larger bend radius control. The new module offers a bend radius control of 1.5” or (39mm).According to DTi spokesperson Steven O’Loughlin, “This new radius offering will accommodate not only larger diameter fiber but manage larger bundle of up to 200 fibers. The new design includes additional mounting features that offer more flexibility to both OEMs and Contract Manufacturers.” The BICSI Compliant Bend Radius Limiter is easy to install, and made from lightweight UL94 V-0 impact resistant Polycarbonate. Available in three widths 3.00” (76mm), 1.75” (44mm), and 1.00” (24mm), in beige or black, it snaps or screws onto any sheet metal edge for typical cabinet egresses. Other installation options include a perpendicular orientation through punched or drilled holes to create fiber loops within patch panels or splice tray applications. This new addition to the Fast Drop suite of products is TIA/EIA-568-B bend radius compliant to standard TIA/EIA 1U, 2U (or greater) panels within 19” and 23” racks or cabinets horizontal or vertically mounted. Fast-Drop modules are specifically designed to fit applications on a variety of fiber optic equipment for Telecom and Datacom Networks, including Fiber System Patch panels, Fiber Interconnect panels, Switches, Routers, and Multiplexers.
