Cutting-Edge Manufacturing Savings Model – for Grommets
Device Technologies (DTi), a leading manufacturer of wire protection products, will showcase its Manufacturing Savings Model at the Paris Air Show at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre from 19-25 June 2023.
The Savings Model was created to demonstrate the lower installed costs and increased productivity that could be achieved using DTi’s Spring-Fast® Grommet Edging instead of the old glued-in grommets. The fast. finger-pressure-only, no-glue installations save time, and money and contribute to increased efficiency/productivity. Spring-Fast is FAA Approved and EWIS-compliant wire protection.
The model is simple. It allows manufacturers to enter 2 key data points; Aircraft Produced per Year, and Penetrations per Aircraft. The model automatically costs and compares the nylon grommet with Spring-Fast. We use a conservative OEM WRAP/Labor Rate of $130.
