The Seal-Fast™ rubber blend (click here) was developed to be compliant with NFPA130 fire standards and met the “local USA content” contract requirements.

The client required NFPA130 compliant material, USA content and a continuous loop design to prevent leakage.
We provided a fitted continuous loop vulcanized seal made from our special D3-228-S044 material which met their design, USA content and performance requirements.
♦ Multi National Train OEM Power Supply door panel seal Custom
The client’s Euro customer design center won a USA train project. It required a custom seal for the power supply enclosure which had unique design characteristics and was FST compliant with US sourcing.
The custom seal lengthened the wing flange and optimized the CLD characteristics of the wide radius mounting edge. Made with FST/NFPA130 complaint flame retardant rubber, it also met the US sourcing requirements.
♦ Asian Based Train OEM Braking System M-9 Cars East Coast Railroad Off the shelf
The OEM worked with a component supplier and their system’s exterior stainless steel cabinet required a seal to prevent leaks and cope with panel thicknesses of 0.075” & 1.5″ corner radii plus be made from an FST approved silicone.
We supplied Seal-Fast door seal D3-282-S044 – silicone with adhesive bonded ends. The product prevented leaks and passed the IPX6 rating (per IEC-60529) water test which included a 3-minute water spray at 100L/min.
