DTi will continue production and shipping as a “COVID-19 Essential Services” supplier to the medical, IT, and defense industries.
On March 23, Massachusetts Governor Baker issued an Emergency Order ordering non-essential businesses and organizations to close their physical workspaces and facilities to customers, workers, and the public. He has also directed the Department of Public Health to Issue a “Stay at Home Advisory” to last two weeks.
However, under this Emergency Order, Device Technologies (DTi) is designated as providing “COVID-19 Essential Services” as it manufactures and supplies products that support the manufacture of medical, IT, and defense equipment. See a full list of Essential Services here.
Accordingly, DTI will remain open to supply these Essential Services although this is subject to the continued good health and availability of critical personnel.

DTi is working for companies, and their subcontractors, who perform on behalf of and under contract to the US Government, providing electronic protection materials and services to the Department of Defense, and government-owned/contractor-operated and government-owned/government-operated facilities. In addition, DTI protection materials are used in the manufacture of specialty medical equipment for patient monitoring and critical IT/Telecom network communications switching equipment.
As of today, 3/24/20, here's what you can expect from DTi:
- Production will remain on schedule although Order Acknowledgment response times on new customer orders and RFQ’s may be extended by 24-48 hours in the short term.
- Shipments will continue as normal. Please tell us of any special guidelines you have around accepting goods so we can adjust.
- DTi suppliers will be “flowed down” to advise their relationship to these Essential Service requirements.
- Our office hours will remain unchanged. DTi office personnel are working remotely for at least the next two weeks. We anticipate some calls may go to voice mail yet calls will be returned promptly. Please follow up with an email or call me directly if any critical needs.
