Device Technologies, Inc. has launched a wire coating service for OEMs. It is an electrostatic powder coat finishing process for wire, cable, metal strip, stampings, and other linear, reel-to-reel products. The powder coatings can be both functional, e.g., for insulation or decorative purposes.

“A wide range of powder materials can be applied to accommodate end-product needs, including thermosets like epoxies or thermoplastics such as nylon,” according to DTi President Nicholas Petri. “Powders can be applied that achieve electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, lubricity, as well as virtually any color.”
DTi’s growth in the specialty fastener industry has led to its development of the fully automated, linear, and selective electrostatic powder coating. This process is a solution can be applied to cable, wire, flat wire, stampings, and profile metal formed products encapsulated in a broad range of thermo-plastic and thermo-setting resins.
Device Technologies, Inc. (DTi) has designed, manufactured, and sold specialty fasteners to a broad spectrum of industries since its founder, Hector D. Petri, introduced the patented Spring-Fast® High Performance Grommet Edging in 1984.
DTi's product line has grown significantly, serving a broad range of industries, including Aerospace, Rail, Department of Defense, Banking,Datacenters, Gaming, HVAC, NASCAR, Semiconductor Manufacturing, and Transportation.
DTi’s work in these industries has enabled the company to provide high-performance, economical product solutions that include Seal-Fast enclosure and door seals and Fast-Drop® Fiber Radius Control Modules (a.k.a. waterfalls) that help maintain reliable signal transmission.
DTi continues to invest in R&D to enhance opportunities for its product and process technologies, in compliance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards. More information is available here
