Device Technologies Unveils New Spring-Fast FM Series: Wire Protection Grommet Edging

Device Technologies designs and manufactures high-performance specialty fastener solutions. It is pleased to announce the latest addition of the Spring-Fast FM Series. This adds to the already successful Spring-Fast Wire Protection Grommet Edging family of products.
Device Technologies (DTi) will unveil it at the Canadian Manufacturing Week Tradeshow in Toronto, Canada, September 28-30, 2004, booth # 377.
DTi designed the Spring-Fast FM Series with a unique castle profile. One side with a traditional castle, and the other with a smooth flat profile that mounts flush to the parallel edge surface. This greatly reduces the chances of any wiring “snagging’ and suffering abrasion damage. It maintains the same level of edge retention, multi-axis flexibility, and abrasion protection as the rest of the range.

The Spring-Fast FM series has a spring stainless steel substrate base and is encapsulated with a smooth abrasion resistant fusion-bonded polyamide coating. No adhesives or volatile chemicals are needed to apply the Spring-Fast FM series—simply installs in seconds with simple finger pressure or DTi’s Roll-Fasttm applicator. The Spring-Fast FM Series is also reusable.
The grip strength of the stainless steel substrate assures meeting the Shock and Vibration requirements of MIL-STD-1344, and the polyamide finish has high dielectric strength making them abrasion, immersion, chemical and salt spray resistant. The Spring-Fast FM Series also meets flammability standards of UL94 V-0 and FAR 25.853 (v) (grommets).
The low profile .028 (.7 mm) and four axis flexibility makes the Spring-Fast FM series a versatile product that fits small inside, outside radii and corners of square vertical wall cabinet structures—in a variety of industries.
