DTi to Showcase USA Produced Enhanced Manufacturing Solutions for Rail Industry at RSSI Minneapolis

DTi Grommets, Edge Seals, and Trims are FST compliant & US-Made  

Southborough, MA September 9, 2019 – Device Technologies, Inc. (DTi), a leading manufacturer of wire protection solutions, will be featuring FST approved and USA produced solutions for rail industry OEMs at the 59th Annual Railway Systems Suppliers Inc. (RSSI) C&S Exhibition Sept 21-24, 2019, at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN. Located in Booth 4524.  

Four of the world’s leading light rail, metro rail, high speed rail and double decker train OEMs serving the U.S market are owned by international companies. Non-U.S. based companies face strict requirements to use components made in the U.S. as mandated by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) and previous legislation. DTi is helping these organizations meet these demands by providing grommet edging, rubber trim and enclosure seal products that not only meet “Buy American” rules, but also comply with stringent fire, smoke, and toxicity (FST) requirements. 

DTi’s Trim-Fast™ edge trim and Seal-Fast™ enclosure seals protect equipment (auxiliary equipment, control boxes, lighting, braking, signaling, power conversion, charging stations, HVAC and window gaskets) from environmental damage by meeting critical industry standards while saving time and money with multi axis flexibility and long-term high performance. Seal-Fast enclosure seals have been tested according to European Standard EN 45545-2 Railway Standard for Safety, meeting the critical hazard levels (HL1 and HL2), and R22/R23 requirements for interior seals. Hundreds of profiles are available off the shelf and are 100% USA produced for those companies that need to meet US content requirements. 

DTi's Spring-Fast® grommet edging protects wires and cables from chafing and eliminates the need for toxic glue/solvents. It offers best in class performance while lowering total install costs by 49% and raising task productivity by 9.5x.
