Device Technologies has introduced the New Seal-Fast D Series of Enclosure and Door Seals.  It provides maximum environmental sealing for enclosures that hold critical electronic equipment and areas that need protecting.

It is the latest addition to its successful equipment protection product portfolio.

Seal-Fast is a better, faster way to protect critical electronic equipment from environmental issues like dust, moisture, temperature, and noise.

Silicone seal silicone wing seal
Seal-Fast is manufactured with a unique steel or stainless steel substrate, wire, or segmented clip.  It snaps on instantly to panels from 0.029 (0.74 mm) to 0.750 (19.1mm) thick and locks into place without adhesives.

The high-tensile strength substrate is encapsulated with a smooth abrasion-resistant elastomeric polymer: EPDM, Silicone, or PVC.  This helps it resist extreme environmental conditions.  It has been tested to comply with ASTM, FMVSS, and SAE flame, toxicity, and weathering qualifications.

The flexible encapsulated substrate snaps over any panel edge with low to medium insertion force.  The metal substrate ensures it has superior edge retention.  The seal section can include a bulb or wing profile that compresses against a panel to create a seal.

Seal-Fast is designed for use in the rail, aviation, avionics, automotive, military vehicles, telecommunications, and construction industries.  Applications include electronic enclosures, vehicle doors, and compartments. Seal-Fast is offered in a broad range of profile shapes and sizes. It comes in 100-foot boxes or customer-specified lengths.

Seal-Fast is available in Silicone, EPDM, and PVC. They meet industry standards and provide efficient, long-term performance.

Some key features include:

  • Excellent Grip Strength: stays in place without adhesives, rivets, or screws.
  • Environmental Protection: vs. weather, moisture, dust, low/high temperatures, & UV.
  • Multi-Axis Flexibility: for small corner radii, complex shapes, & tight spaces.
  • Fast Assembly & Installation: reduces downtime and labor costs.

One-piece seals are particularly popular. They are a better choice than seals with terminating ends that are bonded on-site if you are looking to lower costs and boost the efficiency of your process.  They improve efficiency, productivity, and worker safety and can also save you ~29.1% of total install costs.
